Merrimac Elementary proudly recognized its March Citizens of the Month – students who exemplify the power of patience. Honorees were selected for consistently showing they can wait with grace, maintaining good behavior and a positive attitude even in challenging moments.

These remarkable students demonstrate kindness, gratitude, commitment and strong coping skills, traits that help them stay patient and lead by example. Merrimac is proud to celebrate these outstanding individuals who continue to make their school community a better place.

In honor of P.S. I Love You Week, the Merrimac Elementary School community came together in several ways.

With the help of art teacher Jenna Motroni, the students created a bright display filled with positivity in the hallways of the school. Additionally, Allison Dassau (third grade teacher), Lisa Martinez-Sabella (library media specialist) and Danielle Sicari (third grade teacher) organized the buildingwide activities, including a book drive benefiting The Book Fairies, a nonprofit organization the provides books to children and adults in need in the region.
